About Us

We are a people proclaiming the good news of the risen Christ, and supplying the spiritual, moral and social needs to all who seek assistance, particularly those living within the parish of Ponteland.

We have two centres for congregational worship – St Mary the Virgin, the parish church situated in the centre of the village, and Holy Saviour, a few miles to the north west on the outskirts of the hamlet of Milbourne.

The Parochial Church Council has the responsibility, together with the incumbent, for the running of the parish church and serving the population of Ponteland (some 14000 souls); developing the whole mission of the church on matters pastoral, evangelical, social and ecumenical. It is also responsible for the fabric of the ancient church in Ponteland, Holy Saviour Milbourne, 2 Grange Road (the former house of the curate) and the Parish Centre.
